It depends on the class. Most permit to carry and fundamentals classes require or recommend bringing your own firearm. We'll let you know exactly what to bring when you register. If you don't own a firearm yet — that's okay. Contact us and we'll point you in the right direction.
Absolutely. Most of our classes are specifically designed for people with little or no prior experience. Our instructors are patient, thorough, and focused on making you feel comfortable and confident. You belong here regardless of your background.
Click the Register button on any upcoming class above. Depending on the class, registration may go through USCCA, Eventbrite, or our own form. Each class listing will take you to the correct registration system. If you have questions about a specific class, email us at Support@ReadyRifle.us.
Most classes are held at Ready Rifle in Grand Forks, ND. Some classes may be held at partner facilities or outdoor ranges depending on the curriculum. The location is always listed on the class card and confirmed in your registration confirmation.
Classes are taught by certified instructors — currently including Ready Defense, a trusted North Dakota instruction partner. Ready Rifle also plans to offer instruction directly in the future. Every instructor is vetted, certified, and committed to a welcoming, professional experience.
The North Dakota Permit to Carry class covers the legal requirements for obtaining your ND concealed carry permit, safe firearm handling, responsible carry practices, and the fundamentals of self-defense law. Upon completion you'll receive the documentation needed to apply for your ND permit to carry.
